Guide To True Abundance

True abundance has nothing to do with what we have. It has everything to do with whom we choose to be. There is an abundance of money and resources—a never-ending supply. It is only unwillingness to receive that makes these things hard to obtain.

Abundance, prosperity, and wealth are always available to you, but you have to choose to make yourself available to them.

Are you willing to receive and to claim, own, and acknowledge that you are worthy of abundance, prosperity, and wealth?

Choice Creates Awareness

Choice is the way to navigate change. Every choice you make creates awareness and determines what your future can be. Whenever you make a choice—any choice—recognise what limitations and possibilities are being generated with that choice.

When you follow your knowing, you are aware whether your choice will be expansive and create more possibilities or contractive and create limitation for you and everyone else.

A forcast of trends for the near future

Innovations in technology continues to have massive effects on business and society. Technology will enable more productivity and opportunity then ever before, challenging business executives to become more future savvy. Regardless of what industry you are in it is essential to be looking outward and constantly monitor broad trends in the external environment.

In order to succeed you need to know what’s ahead to better plan and perceive different possibilities. You would do well to recognize that executing on your existing strategy might no longer be good enough. Technology will continue to be the key driver of business strategy. It is imperative to become aware of the different possibilities and risks presented by the evolving trends, and the driving forces behind them.  In fact, many notorious big-business failures have stemmed from feeble or faulty strategies. In their book Billion Dollar Lessons , Paul Carroll and Chunka Mui point out that many big business failures could have been avoided if companies had been more strategically aware of potential pitfalls. It takes generative energy, will power, fortitude, and strategyto transform awareness into physical reality.

With a strategic awareness, you can re-imagine what is possible, discovering what you can do that is new, and how best to do it.

Different Possibilities

Every day, for nearly 35 years, Raimundo Arruda Sobrinho sat in the same spot in São Paulo, Brazil…writing. Raimundo was homeless.

In April 2011, a woman named Shalla Monteiro stopped to chat with him and the two struck up a friendship. She was impressed by his poetry and decided to help him with his dream of publishing a book. She created a Facebook Page to feature Raimundo’s writing. No one expected what happened next.

Why it is crucial to know the difference between Choice and Decision!

Is there a difference between choice and decision? In our view there certainly is.

Though the words are often used interchangeably, there's a major difference between the two. According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, decision is the act of or need for making up one’s mind, it comes from “cutting off”, a report of a conclusion. Choice is the opportunity or power to choose between two or more possibilities, it comes from “to perceive.”

In business and in life, we make numerous choices: they are either conscious or unconscious.  Making choices is a critical part of every entrepreneur's job.  What most people do is try to figure out what the right decision is going to be. They try to figure it out logically to make sure that nothing will go wrong if they finally make this decision. But it doesn’t work that way. We have to choose in order to have the awareness of what our choice creates. The only consequence of choice is awareness.

Most people think a decision is something that, once it's made, is there forever. They think a decision is set in concrete. So they need to have the right answer. The problem with this sort of point of view is that the very premise on which it is based is flawed. So therefore, if we think we have to make a decision, we are constantly looking for more evidence that it is the right decision, because otherwise it would be the wrong decision and we would be stuck with it. And, once you have made the decision that “you are on the right track”, you have to defend the direction you are going. You will always look to gather evidence that will prove you have made the right decision.

When you have the point of view that you must make the right decision, you have to conclude what the result is that you want, which means you have to judge you and make yourself wrong when it doesn't turn out that way.  When you are vested in the outcome, you put yourself in the place of “I need to make the right decision”. Then you have no choice. When you have the need to make the right decision, then all choices are controlled and subject to that point of view, because you always have to go into judgment as to whether or not you are making the right decision. Difficulties arise when unconscious decision making is used for important decisions that have long-term consequences. You can end up making sub-optimal decisions.

If you are vested in the outcome when you are making a decision -

  • you will always be in judgment of your decision and you blind yourself to all that actually is or could be.
  • you try to work out the right answer and you  try to contain everything where you can keep it moving in a direction you wish to go, or you have decided it should go, which creates limitation.
  • you can’t have any clarity about other possibilities because you are looking for a particular result.

Making a conscious choice in the present  is so much easier than that. Making a conscious choice is about the change you know needs to be here. There is no investment in the outcome and no idea of what might show up; there is only awareness of the energy. You recognise that every choice creates many future possibilities, not a single result. It is crucial to know the difference between choice and decision, because choice creates ever changing possibilities, whereas decision is always a cutting off of other possibilities.

Create a remarkable life that goes beyond anything you’ve ever thought was possible

To create a remarkable life we have to be willing to have a life that is beyond the limitations of this reality that everybody else is living from. It requires creativity and energy. This is a constant state of being aware that there is a different possibility. In order to create a remarkable life we have to be able to receive a different possibility, a different awareness and a different reality. This will get us up in the morning and get our creative juices flowing.

Great successes all begin with an ability to receive a different possibility - and it's just as important for individuals as it is for corporations.

It is important to recognise that creativity is not exclusive to designers and artists, or unattainable to those in other disciplines. In truth, creativity is natural and inherent in all of us. We can easily create a remarkable life if we are willing to be the creative source of our own reality. That means we're willing to create a reality that has more possibilities in it and we're no longer trying to fit into this reality.

It begins with a choice. A remarkable life is a reflection of our choices.  We have to choose in order to have the awareness of what our choice creates. We have to be willing to choose, let it take off on its own, and go where it will go. What we choose only gives us awareness, it does not give us a right or wrong or a consequence. We can’t have awareness before we choose and we can’t get awareness unless we choose. Choice creates awareness. Awareness does not create choice. Once we start choosing based on choice, eventually we will have an awareness of what our choices will generate and create.

What if every choice we made was not right or wrong but exactly what was required for us to become as aware as we truly are now?

What if every choice we made was not right or wrong but exactly what was required for us to become as aware as we truly are now?

Be a catalyst for different possibilities. Be open to all possibilities and sincerely willing to look at what we can do to generate different possibilities. Innovation cannot occur if we are not open to all possibilities. Without it, we have little hope of creating breakthrough ideas. Being open to all possibilities is the fuel that we need to keep creating, keep striving and keep generating. When we are a catalyst for different possibilities, we light up a room - it's in our body language, our eyes, our communication and our voice.

Live in the question and act on the possibility of things. We have to be willing to be the question to find what works for us. This is about having a sense of curiosity and a space of expansion. Questions have the power to transform our world and, as a result, create a remarkable life that goes beyond anything we’ve ever thought was possible. When we can truly live in the question, particularly in a challenging moment we will not be occupying a discombobulated mental state, which allows us to see different possibilities.

Approach every moment with the desire to be a contribution. Most people think that being a contribution means doing something for others or sharing in the work. This is not the case. Being a contribution is a way of being. When we choose to live our life and conduct our business from the space of being a contribution, we are improving the quality of life generally. When we choose to concentrate on being a contribution, everything is an endless possibility because we function from a place of generosity of spirit, awareness, and joy. We put our energy where it needs to be, and we are willing to be and receive all energies and no judgment is required. Being a contribution as a business executive is where we are in question, and ask: What contribution can I be? Contribution is about a joyful expression of life, a sense of expansiveness, a joy of being, and a sense of abundance in all things.

Forecasting Possibilities

Even though the future can not truly be predicted, we can, however, use our awareness to forecast future possibilities. Forecasting possibilities means we're willing to look at the future and see what a choice is going to create. Our awareness is the tool to know what the future might look like.

The starting point is about being aware of what's going on out there in the world, what's happening now and what has occurred in recent times. This could be from recognising changes in the society, sciences, technology, environment and so on. We must constantly be in the question "What do these changes and innovations mean?" and  "What is the likely impacts of these changes and innovations? "

These questions are not supposed to forecast the future, they are being used to look at what's currently occurring. When we are asking these questions we aren't asking, "What will the future look like?" We are asking instead, "What choice do we have and what do we have to choose today to create the future?"

We have to create today in order to have what we want tomorrow

What creates the future is what we do today, in the present moment. The future requires choices and actions - now. Our choices and actions accumulate and have an impact on what the future will be. So, we need to ask - "What can we do now to prepare for future possibilities that will shape our life, our business and our future?"

So, to begin to create our future today, we have to embrace a new awareness of different possibilities that will not just transform our life or our business but also act as a catalyst to transform society and even the world. This is truly possible if we choose to expand our zone of awareness beyond our normal ways of thinking so that we can be on the alert for what is new and different, and envisage what the options and possibilities could be.

We have to become more aware of emerging trends, and  the innovations that are being generated in the world right now. We must expand our capacity to see the landscape from multiple angles and ascertain how we can capitalise on it.

We have to be willing to embrace change and consider the impact of emerging trends. Whenever and wherever we notice an anomaly or oddity, we must envision what the new landscape might be if what we are perceiving is a signal of powerful change. Most importantly, we must envisage how we might take advantage of the new possibilities.

To consciously create our future requires that we go to question - “What’s possible here? What choice do I have? What choice do I need to make here?", and most important we must ACT on it. We have to create today in order to have what we want in the future.

You Want To Go For What You Love

The people who love what they do and do it because it brings them joy are the ones who will create greater possibility and make money at it.  The energy you create from is what creates and generates your life.

If you could wake up every single day to do one thing to create your life and living, what would it be?

"Everyone has been made for some particular work, and the desire for that work has been put in every heart."     ------- Rumi

New Possibilities have no history!

Our assumptions and points of view determine how we create our life, our reality and our future. The way we perceive, judge, and react to events throughout the day is based on our assumptions and points of view, which then anchor us in our view of what reality is. When we don’t judge what’s right or wrong, every choice we make and every action we take can lead to new possibilities.

Imagine what your business and your life would be like if you could function without judgment, without reasons, or justification and create a life that goes beyond the limitations of what the rest of the world thinks is important.

Perhaps the biggest block to being successful is our point of view of right, wrong, good, or bad. When our mind is relentlessly going on about how wrong or how right things are, we diminish our ability to take action. And whenever we judge something, information that doesn’t already match our judgment cannot come into our awareness. When we have a fixed point of view that something is correct and right, or something is terrible and wrong, there is no room for something else to show up.

We have to be willing to change the points of view and beliefs that keep us moored in the limitation of this reality or nothing will change in our life or business.

5 Tips for Creating Your Own Future

What are you creating as your future? Most people don’t have any idea about what they would like to create as their future. In fact, it is all too common for many successful executives to create strategy for their business, but leave their personal future to chance.

It's more common for people to be quite passive about the future. They see the future as unknowable and an abstract event way out there, that is separate from them.  And for them, this is true; this is their reality. They are at the effect of change and never know what is going to happen next. They don't have awareness of emerging trends or what's going on in the world that could impact their future.

The main reason many people fall short of their own ability to consciously create their future is the same reason most companies fail to achieve their targets: they are stuck in the past or the present and cannot see ahead in developing a strategy that can lead and shape the future of new possibilities.

What if you could choose otherwise?  Here are some tips that will assure your success.

1. Cultivate a mindset of the future - It is essential to consciously and deliberately create the future and be aware of the future implications for your choices and for everything you do. Your future is something you create with your choices. Every choice you make determines what your future can be. So when you make a choice, recognize what limitations are being generated with that choice.

2. Expand your awareness - It takes the willingness to be aware of everything, which allows you to perceive different possibilities. It also requires you to expand your awareness and develop clarity of vision to see beyond this contextual reality. If you are willing to have the awareness to know what is happening and where you are going, you will be able to consciously create your future and generate something different. As Lewis Carroll said: If you don't know where you are going, then any road will get you there.

3. Keeping an eye on the Big Picture - cultivate an ability to be aware of future trends and how these trends may affect you and how you can leverage off them. Rather than closing your eyes to forewarning indications and hoping that things don’t change too much, you must be willing to break with your fixed points of view and your conventional practices and discover different ways of seeing the world

4. Embrace Change - Be willing to recognise that changes in the future can be disruptive. The changes that are taking place globally are unprecedented in their scope. They are generating unlimited opportunities and inimitable threats. If you can perceive these changes as strategic advantages and opportunities, you will be more likely to recognize a new possibility.

5. Be on the creative edge in the present - Being on the creative edge means you're always in a mode of question, choice, possibility, and contribution. That's the place you need to live from. Your questions will assist you to see things through the lense of curiosity. Your choice creates the future every time you choose, you make a choice today and the future gets created by that choice. Possibilities are endless, only limited by your already formed points of view of what must be. Everything is a contribution, if you are willing to be aware of this and leverage everything to your advantage.

You have to create today in order to have what you want tomorrow.

Willing to Change is the Key to different possibilities!

In the next decade, leaders must entrain themselves to be more strategic coupled with a greater sense of personal awareness,  and foster and function from an abundance and possibility view of the world.

Just imagine what your business and your life would be like if you stopped functioning on autopilot and began to generate your business with strategic awareness and prosperity consciousness. This is truly possible—except you have to be willing to change.

It takes the willingness to be aware of everything, which allows you to perceive different possibilities. It also requires you to expand your awareness and develop clarity of vision to see beyond this contextual reality.

If you have the awareness to know what is happening and where you are going, you will be able to generate something different.

The key to cultivating powerful emotional intelligence

Living as the question is the key to cultivating powerful emotional intelligence and making conscious choices. Living as the question means using questions to bypass the limited answers our mind provides. Our mind can only define what we already know. It cannot be infinite and unlimited. Whenever we have an answer, that’s the sum total of what can show up for us. But when we live as the question, infinite possibilities are available.

Questions open up new possibilities. Being the question generates an incredible powerful attracting energy to bring you the people, circumstances, and opportunity you desire in life. When you live as the question, you create an invitation.

When you are living as the question and being the question, then there is no conclusion possible . . . . .. infinite possibilities are available. A question allows you to expand your zone of awareness and see beyond conventional concepts. When you live as the question you can’t ever make a conclusion.

A little girl with autism... can't talk, but her paintings have been sold to collectors for hundreds of dollars.

Iris Grace Halmshaw is autistic and struggles to express herself, but art has changed life for both the little girl and her family. Iris's autism affects her in many ways, from sensory issues with noise and fabrics she comes into contact with, to problems with basic social and tactile interactions with the world around her.

Iris was officially diagnosed as a child with autism, a condition that has made her unable to communicate except through the medium of art. She has a tendency to drift off into her own world, like many autistic children.  When Iris's parents introduced her to painting, they were hoping the activity would be a fun diversion and a way to get their autistic child to express herself.

But as soon as Iris picked up a brush, her parents were blown away by how she approached the painting. She shied away from doing simple paintings of houses or smiling stick figures and, instead, created colorful abstract pieces that appeared to express deep emotion. Her abstracts often depict particular moods or experiences after which they are titled, like Patience, Separation, and Immersion.

Many of Iris' paintings show an astonishingly mature interpretation of natural scenes, including waterfalls, fields and skies. to Professor Allan Snyder from the Centre for the Mind at the Australian National University, people like Iris are able to unlock the hidden wells of potential that lie in all of us, but are rarely accessed.

"I think it's possible for a perfectly normal person to have access to these abilities," he says. "[But] savants can't usually tell us how they do what they do. It just comes to them."

You've got to be willing to be everything

Do you want to live like other people or do you wish to lead a life without limitation? If you desire to lead a life without limitation, you have to make a commitment to living a life without limitation!

"If it falls your lot to be a street sweeper, go out and sweep streets like Michelangelo painted pictures. Sweep streets like Handel and Beethoven composed music. Sweep streets like Shakespeare wrote poetry. Sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will have to pause and say, here lived a great street sweeper who swept his job well." -- Martin Luther King, Jr.

If you were living your life, what would it be?

Knowing what you would like to create as your life can be a very powerful, dynamic stimulus. By having a clear awareness and priority you can start to generate what would be joyful to have as your life.

DeathtoStock_Creative Community6.jpg

Have you ever asked yourself what you would like to have as your life? Ask the question “If I were living my life, what would it be?” By being the question, you will gain more clarity and awareness about what you can do and be that will create a different reality.

It all depends on your point of view

Everyone sees things from their own point of view. We tend to come to conclusion about what something is, and then we create our reality based on that point of view. 90% of the time, we try to categorize things according to what we already know.

The Cannon Lap experiment affirms that our own Point of View creates our reality. This experiment illustrated that a photograph is shaped more by the point of view of the person behind the camera than by what's in front of it.

Canon Lab invited six photographers to a portrait session with a twist. ‘Decoy’ is one of six experiments from The Lab, designed to shift creative thinking behind the lens. The video, called "The Decoy," runs about three-minutes and is a very eye-opening experience in that it makes us stop and rethink how our points of view create our reality.

No one and nothing is more valuable than your consciousness and your choice

Kenyan Julius Yego secured a gold medal at the World Athletics Championships in Beijing in javelin. His throw of 92.72m won the competition by four meters, and was not far away from the current world record of 98.48m. What is remarkable is that Yego is almost entirely self-taught. He developed his capacity to throw javelin and for receiving everything that is possible from 'YouTube' videos. “I watched YouTube and it really paid off for me, to see the training techniques and skills they are using,” Yego told CNN. “I do not have a coach, my inspiration comes from within.”

Everybody in Kenya is a runner,  which means that there aren’t that many coaches who can train those who are interested in other disciplines, such as the javelin. Julius had to incorporate awareness to create something greater for himself. His desire to be the best had created inspiration, that which brought him to an awareness of what he always thought was possible. Julius made the choice to be the best and he became aware of what he could be and do different by watching the Youtube training videos.

This is how he started creating his life – the awareness of different possibilities, so that he had the perception, so that he had the receiving, so that he had the knowing, which allowed him the choices, the possibilities, and the questions that contributed to actually having the life he would like to have.

Julius Yego demonstrated that "If we are inspired we will be able to see what others have been unwilling to receive." He truly proved that when we’re on the edge of creation with our life, then we’re never going to divorce awareness to create something.

To develop the capacity for receiving everything that is possible for you, ask “What can I do or be today that will inspire me?” Then you can ask questions. "What would it take for me to succeed? What do I need to be aware of here? What can I change? What question can I ask that will change this? What else is possible?"

If you start asking for, “What else is possible here?” you will have a little more awareness in the knowing, and just as much perception. You will also receive more information, which will take all of that, put it together, and make it a more substantial possibility, which gives you choice and questions to create different possibilities.

Create your life as a present-time adventure!

Making things happen doesn’t take hard work. All it takes is choice, trust, and the ability to live on the creative edge. One way of starting to live on the creative edge is to begin to create your life as a present-time adventure instead of a future possibility. How you be in the world is what creates your reality.

When you open up to genuine wonder, then you step out of the zone of the known and into the infinite creative possibilities of the unknown.

Be the catalyst for a different possibility

We can be the catalyst for a different possibility if we are willing to be that. It's a choice we can make. The energy we create with the contribution we are being in our daily life ricochets out in the entire world and it changes the people and everything around us. Every time you are choosing to ‘be the catalyst for change’ you create a wave of possibility.

Be kind, be in allowance and destroy any investment in the outcome or any attachment to a result.

What does the future hold for business?

Have you ever wondered "What will business be like in 5, 10, or even 20 years from now?" How many industries that are unknown today will exist in the future?

What if the future of business has nothing to do with technology, but actually has to do with people who have strategic awareness to see new and different possibilities?

New forces for different possibilities are emerging in the global business arena. The evolving generative business landscape is opening up economically viable businesses  that favour smaller, more creative, more dynamic and more innovative enterprises—creating opportunities for all of us to build viable small businesses that tap into our creative potential, but only if we know how to develop our foresight and expand our zone of awareness.

Businesses large and small have to get to the point where they create their choices, not based on the economic conditions or what they wish to create economically, but on the awareness of, "How is this going to create a sustainable future."  The time to act is now! Business leaders have to be willing to function from the awareness of what will create the future they would like to have - not from the conclusion of what they've decided they want the future to be. People limit themselves with the conclusions they buy into.

The winners among businesses in coming decades will be those that recognise the evolution of their industry and their role within it. They will position themselves on more generative space in areas of the economy that will continue to create a sustainable future. They are willing to be the source for creating a different future by being the curiosity of possibilities and choice. - by asking "What about the future am I aware of that I haven't considered yet?".

In order to survive and thrive, businesses should consider the following:

  • What is the future that will be created 5, 10, 20 years from now by the choices you make today?
  • Which parts of the economy are transforming?
  • Which parts of the economy are contracting?
  • What business assumptions will become irrelevant?
  • What’s changed?
  • How could you take advantage of the change?
